About Tawa College Community Education
Tawa College Community Education provides accessible learning opportunities for adults in Tawa and across the wider Wellington region. Our courses are designed to help people develop new skills, explore new interests, and connect with others in a welcoming community environment.
From creative arts and cooking to technology, languages, and wellbeing classes, our programme offers something for everyone. Whether you’re learning for enjoyment, personal development, or practical skills, we believe learning should be accessible, friendly, and lifelong.
Mā te mōhio ka ora. Mā te ora ka mōhio.
Through learning there is life. Through life there is learning.
Why Community Education?
Community Education provides opportunities for people to continue learning throughout their lives in a relaxed and supportive environment. Unlike formal education, community classes are designed to be accessible, practical, and enjoyable.
Many people join courses to develop new skills, explore creative interests, improve their health and wellbeing, or simply try something new. Classes are welcoming and social, giving people the chance to meet others with similar interests while learning from experienced tutors.
At Tawa College Community Education, we believe learning should be available to everyone in the community, regardless of age or experience.
