SEWING – INTRODUCTION FOR BEGINNERS

This class is limited to 10 people FULL
This course is suitable for students who would like to learn to sew in a short space of time/over 2 (consecutive) weekends. Two 6 hour sessions to take you from complete sewing novice with little to no experience to increased and improved understanding of your sewing journey. Topic covered: Winding a Bobbin, Threading up the Machine, Sewing Equipment, Fabrics, Types Of Seams, Seam Finishes and lots of Sewing Tips for easier efficient sewing.
A number of simple items will be made throughout the classes to embed the learning. These are pre cut and will be supplied in class (included in course fee).
Introductory pattern information and what to look for when purchasing a sewing machine is also provided.
The school provides: sewing machines, bobbin, bobbin cases and scissors; All students need to bring their own sewing kit (a list will be sent out after enrolment.)

The fee includes pre-cut fabric for sewing practice. On completion the student will take home a number of sewn items.
