Sew a Skirt
Have you wanted to try your hand at garment sewing but been intimated to take the next step? This course is for those who have some sewing experience and are ready to try garment sewing. In this course we will make a simple skirt and include: How to read a pattern Measuring and making minor adjustments Cutting out Darts Insert a zip Faced waistline Hemming Suggested pattern is New Look 6053 (available from Spotlight) as a simple skirt with enough minor variations so you can make what you want. However, if you have a different one please feel free to bring that, we just might not be able to cover extra techniques (such as waistbands and pockets). Please also bring all supplies listed for your pattern, fabric, thread, zip, hook and eye and interfacing as required.
