Peter Kani

Peter’s introduction to self defence was actually through attending a workshop held at Tawa Community Education in 2017 - he has been training IKMF krav maga ever since, and became a certified instructor in 2024. 

He was drawn to IKMF krav maga due to it being developed for its practicality, ease of learning, accessibility and relevance to anybody, regardless of fitness or ability (including physical limitations or disabilities). 

He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, enjoys coffee and walking, and currently works in the commercial and procurement sector. 

 

He is an associate instructor at Krav Maga Wellington and Self Defence, based in Cuba Street, Petone; and teaches regular group classes, one-to-one lessons and corporate training.
