SAVING FAMILY MEMORIES:

Family history

Tutor/Facilitator: Nicola Kane
3 Wednesday nights - Starts on 4 September from 7-9pm

EVERYONE has a story worth sharing. This class will inspire you to start saving family stories and memories for future generations. Most family history is recorded in documents and photographs, but there are many stories and memories that are not recorded and will be lost or forgotten if they are not saved. You will use old photographs as prompts, and create a timeline of key life events that you wish to document. The main focus is on using video & audio to record stories and memories, but the same principles can be applied to writing a personal memoir.

Testimonial

First I want to give you a proper thank you for your great leadership of the Saving Family Memories course.

I really liked the way you got us all so engaged with the practical steps we all had a go at! Your advice and wisdom about tackling our projects was truly excellent, backed up with great handouts and tips to refer to.

The whole course opened my eyes to recording some of my memories on video, and what a difference with good preparation they can make in impact and in bringing both the memory and the person telling the story so alive!

So a heartfelt thank you - I'm sure I'll be in touch as I action my plans!”
