(A) Fabric Requirements
At least 2m fine cotton/linen, silk or cut into fat quarters/fat eighths (or less) in size. Pre washed and ironed. Cotton lawn is a good weight, calico is no good as it resists the dye.
You are welcome to bring extra fabric and garments such as a tshirt or shirt (we dye these later in the day to use up the indigo).
If you want to do some of the folding and stitching of samples beforehand, this is the book we use.

Strong thread such as Buttonhole thread or crochet cotton
Chenille needles (or some type of needle suitable for the thread)
Rubber gloves and apron
Fabric scissors
Plastic bags to take wet stuff home

Plastic woodwork clamps
